- These diffusers feature cast endcaps that are welded all around for added durability.
- A typical system that uses SSI WBCB diffusers is constructed from stainless steel pipes. These pipes have ¾” FNPT gusseted tees or elbows welded to the bottom center line.
- While each diffuser comes with deflectors, they are removable if needed.
Grommet Connection
This excellent diffuser from SSI is an on-clog type that automatically closes and seals completely when air is turned off. Unlike stainless steel wideband-type diffusers, this model will not be clogged by rags in the tank.
Caps are predominantly employed in aerobic digesters and equalization tanks when there's no need for high-rate oxygen transfer efficiency. They are crafted from black Acetyl plastic with UV protection, and the membranes are composed of the same EPDM compound found in SSI's fine bubble disc diffusers. These caps feature a 3/4" MNPT thread. SSI's Cap diffuser is designed to prevent clogs and functions effectively under both intermittent and continuous conditions. A typical piping system that utilizes SSI AFC75 diffusers is constructed using PVC, CPVC, or Stainless Steel pipes, along with grommets, drilled and tapped pipes, or welded ¾” FNPT SS bosses positioned at the top center line.
